Welcome, travelers to a fairy tale land where magic happens on a daily basis. This mysterious country is called Poland. And this is Pride and Fall.

But first things first. Pride comes before the Fall. And The Fall came really abruptly. Internal struggle mixed with German tanks brought an end to the Third Polish Republic and though the Bundeswehr did not reach Łódź, the city was struck by an almost apocalyptic event - a sudden atomic explosion. Although the disappearance of Bałuty in a nuclear firestorm was not of great economic importance, it led to total collapse of power structures in the Voivodeship. Once beautiful landscapes of Łódź turned into barbaric wastelands, ruled by not entirely normal warlords such as coal cultists, bloodthirsty scouts, ruthless capitalists, Yahweh fans, or supporters of the kingdom straight from The Witcher.
But one man - Szymon Hołownia - took power in Łódź and, using the power of Dialogue, reconciled the warring tribes. Does his Pax Hołownia have a chance to survive?

THIS IS A PRE-RELEASE OF THE DEMO VERSION. The demo is focusing on the region of Łódź with its six countries, and no country outside of it is supposed to be playable - though we did leave some crumbs of other in-development content scattered around here and there. It is also designed to only be played until the unification of the region, which is about 2-3 years - though after it you unlock the option to justify wargoals on other countries.

And since it is only an early pre-release, it means that:

• Much of the content is unfinished. Expect significant amount of placeholder text, missing icons, unbalanced stuff, etc.
• Crashes are likely, and there are still many bugs. Also, if you have a low resolution you may have issues with getting through the country selection menu. But if you pan the screen and try to move it around you should be able to click all the necessary buttons.
• We are constantly developing it, no rest for the wicked. We will keep releasing patches every few days or so, which unfortunately means that the save games will probably break often.
• If you encounter any issues, feel fry to join our Discord and let us know about them - but chances are we are aware of them and are already working on fixing them.

So, why did we release the mod in this state? Basically, we met in real life, got really drunk and thought it would be a fun idea to publish it NOW. Don't ask. What happened in Łódź, stays in Łódź. And after all, we gave up and didn't even try to take it down.

But with those things in mind: It's playable. Kinda. While not all events, icons and other cosmetic stuff are finished, the focus trees, technologies and other gameplay elements are mostly working. So if you can look past the temporary shortcomings, there is still a lot of fun stuff in the mod that you might enjoy.
